Growing up, I was an anxious but energetic child. I often avoided activities that pushed me outside my comfort zone. Everything changed when I discovered martial arts. I started boxing at 12, then moved into ITF Taekwondo and Kickboxing as an adult, eventually competing for England in both. Martial arts became the turning point I needed and it uncovered something even greater: my true passion for teaching.
Over the last 20 years, I’ve built multiple schools and dedicated my life to teaching. But for much of that time, I felt surrounded by people who were content with just “getting by.” I often felt like I didn’t belong and like I’d hit a ceiling I couldn’t break through, no matter how much effort I put in. The support, structure, and vision I needed just weren’t there.
That all changed when I joined British Military Martial Arts (BMMA) in 2024. For the first time, I found an organisation that not only demands excellence but provides it, with proven systems, expert guidance, and genuine support from people who’ve walked the path themselves.
